Mental Golf Programs - Basic Program

To improve your scores, rethink your game.

If you want to start improving your scores right now, the PureMind Basic program will teach you how to manage your mind and reactions the same way the best golfers in the world do. It results in better consistency, better energy, and ultimately better scores. This program does not replace good swing instruction, but allows you to make the most of it. It brings immediate improvement, and continues to build as you learn not only the mental game but the emotional and energy game as well. This program teaches the following:

  • How your mind works, and how to use it for great golf

You’ll learn the inner-workings of your mind and how to direct it to get the shot results you want more often. You’ll also learn that most golfers use their mind in a way that actually hinders their performance - without even knowing it.

  • Self-talk, it’s limited role, and the harm most people do with it (unknowingly)

The vast majority of golfers unknowingly misdirect themselves in the way they talk to themselves (and others). Find out what you can do to best prepare yourself for the next shot (and increase the chances of making it a great one).

  • The power of the pre-shot routine and the little-known secrets that produce powerful results

A consistent pre-shot routine sets the stage for the shot we are about to make. Using our faculties in a consistent, directed and properly sequenced manner allows us to gain maximum control of what happens during our shot.

  • Between shots: self management and recovery in preparing for your next shot

Find out why most golfers do harm to their game by unknowingly misdirecting themselves and wasting energy between shots. You’ll learn how to make each shot in your round feel as fresh as the first one of the round.

  • Reactions: Don’t just manage them, convert them and use them to your advantage

Emotional management is elusive for most of us, and yet the directing of our emotions into our game can make or break your score. Learn the fine art of emotional intelligence and put yours to work for you. Also, learn to minimize and recover from negative emotions after a bad shot.

  • Energy management - conserving and directing your energy to play your best

Learn how most golfers unnecessarily burn off precious energy during their round, leading to inconsistent play, weak shots and a lack of fun.

  • Limit the effect playing partners have on you

Many golfers get distracted by other players in their group (poor etiquette, playing out of turn, talking too much, talking while we play, slow play, etc.). Learn to minimize or eliminate the effect they have on your performance and redirect that energy into your game.

Who is the PureMind Basic Program designed for?

Golfers at any skill level will benefit from the Basic program (it’s called the Basic because it sets the foundation for the "inner game"). Golfers playing at a high level or competitively will take this program as a prerequisite to the PureMind Advanced Program, an intensive program designed for those who need every advantage they can get to play their best.

Program Format

This program is a hands-on coaching workshop, with limited seating to ensure individual coaching for each participant. There will be a blend of information exchange, hands-on work, and individual coaching/instruction. The sessions are designed to be very practical and entertaining.

The program consists of 6 weekly sessions in a small group setting—giving you the combined benefit of group learning and individualized coaching. The sessions are 1-1/2 hours in length, with extra time available at the end of each session for attendees to address individual questions with the instructor.

Testimonials (Unsolicited)

The pre-shot routine is helping out tremendously. I only hit 20 balls before Saturday’s round using what you taught me, and wow what a difference. I was even par on my first 18, and was -2 on my second 18. A significant improvement from recent play. I drove the ball much better, more accurate, and long. I hit a lot of greens, and was all over the stick. My confidence only grew as the round went on. - Jordan Winter, CPGA Professional - I wanted to thank you for all your pearls of wisdom shared with me throughout the year. It definitely contributed to my success in the club championship. - Sandy Bychowski, Ladies’ Club Champion, Brampton Golf Club - Top
